As Executive Director, Kris is our quintessential perfect match. The living embodiment of an advocate, starting at age 13 by penning a note to Pres. Reagan protesting removing the White House’s solar panels. He lives sustainably, is a certified permaculture designer, gardens, cooks and does woodwork when he’s not guiding our community efforts.
Arnold is our details expert, rattles off facts and data in an instant so we lean on him to keep everything in check. He bikes extensively, is as well directed on the road as in meetings and he’s responsible for much of the growth of our reCYCLE Bike Drives and Bike Valet Parking efforts.
Gary heads up GreenTown’s energy efforts. Given his high energy, a natural fit. Our prolific writer and biking phenom, he leads popular events, like the Historic Bike Ride, Native Garden Bike Tour and the Summer & Winter Solstice night bike rides. In energy, his focus is on supporting Silicon Valley Clean Energy.
Jana is our organizational go to. Her smiling face makes it easy to make any request and know it will be one more piece of the GreenTown puzzle, from organizing volunteers to coordinating events, her coordinates deliver solid results.
Linda was the brainchild behind the hugely successful, “Shaped By Water” exhibit, exemplary of Linda’s expertise in blending art with environmental education. Her keen eye strikes the balance GreenTown needs between the two, always giving valuable input to make a powerful mark.
As Water Program Lead, Linda stays focused on educating our community about all things water. From creek clean ups that end up providing us all cleaner water to monthly meetings to plan events, she’s a planner extraordinaire who makes GreenTown more effective.
Margie is simply the icon of environmental passion. Whipping out facts off the top of her head, while biking around town, heading to teach, evangelize and educate our community about GreenTown’s programs which she helps create, craft and complete.
Michele admits joining the GreenTown team was a no brainer. Why? Who wouldn’t want to be a part of a team of passionate, brilliant residents working to improve our community’s future? Marketing its programs are just plain fun. Not to mention rewarding. Enough to keep anyone smiling.
