Edible Tree Walk

June 25, 2017 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Join GreenTown executive director Kris Jensen, award-winning local chef Joni Sare, food history and policy geek Peter Ruddock, and other experts on GreenTown’s first annual Edible Tree Walk!

We’ll begin our walk at Los Altos’ heritage apricot orchard with a talk by the town’s orchardist. Following this brief talk, we’ll walk through the civic center grounds and into the surrounding neighborhood learning about the various fruit and other edible trees growing in our neighborhoods.

You’ll learn fun facts, history and how to incorporate this local fruit into your cooking. If you’re a foodie, a history buff or would just like to learn about the trees around you—this walk is for you!

Space is limited, so please be sure to register early. This walk is co-sponsored by GreenTown Los Altos, Slow Food South Bay, Transition Palo Alto and Canopy.
